Clean Beauty Makes Gains in Mass Cosmetics Market

Category sales up 8.1% as consumers seek reusable packaging and study free-from lists, according to Nielsen IQ.

Clean beauty sales in mass market channels soared more than 8% in the past year, according to Nielsen IQ. The gain easily topped total category growth of 2% during the same period. According to Nielsen IQ, products that are free from parabens grew 3.6%, paraben- and sulfate-free grew 5%, and those free from parabens, sulfates and phthalates soared 13%.
